Elena Nelson is a WA State Licensed Master Esthetician and Licensed Master Esthetic Educator. She has been in the esthetics/medical/surgical field for 18 years working in direct patient care. She attended the Euro Institute of Skin Care were she received her certification in Medical Esthetics. She also holds the highest international credential available in skin care from the Comite International D'Esthetique Et Cosmetologie. Founded in 1946 (it's head office in Zurich, Switzerland), CIDESCO is represented in over 33 countries. The CIDESCO Diploma is the world's most prestigious qualification in the field of aesthetics and beauty therapy. CIDESCO qualification has set the standards that have been initiated over the five continents of the globe, and is considered the gold standard in beauty therapy.
Elena was privileged to work and be mentored by Dr. Hauge, board certified plastic surgeon for 12 years until his retirement. She also worked side by side Dr. Hoyt as they built the first Sciton Laser practice in Yakima. She enjoyed working as his RST in surgery, and providing all patients with esthetic Sciton Laser services wich she continues to provide today. She also assisted with patient care surgically, aesthetically, and clinically, all which have been Elena's passion for the last 18 years. She created Cascade Esthetics & The Make-Up Boutique to provide results oriented clinical skin care with a holistic approach. She is a Certified Sciton Laser Specialist and Certified Laser Safety Officer and offers state of the art Sciton Laser skin rejuvenation, makeup artistry, eyelash extensions, medical skin care services, and will always educate you on the latest medical skin care products to maintain your results.
Elena holds two Associate of Science Degrees in Surgical Technology and Medical Assisting (C-RMA). She is also a proud Central Washington University graduate and Alumni, "Go Wild Cats"! She obtained a bachelors degree in Information Technology & Administrative Management with a specialization in Administrative Management, and completed her graduate school studies, obtaining a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) with a focus in Management, "Go Beacons"! Cascade Esthetics & The Make-Up Boutique extends beyond business by focusing on creating value for established and new clients, while providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable establishment to be in!
Her passion for business and the medical esthetics field has lead her to serve in every position on the prestigious Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialist Executive Board of Directors, with her recent position on the Program and Nominating Committee for 2018-2019. She was the Immediate Past President for 2016 and has chaired, co-chaired committees, conducted roundtables, and contributed many articles for the SPSSCS newsletter. She presented "Airbrush Makeup Techniques," at the national SPSSCS meeting in Washington D.C., "Eyebrows Frame The Face", in Vancouver, Canada, and "Visionary Leadership for Serving others," and "MLD Techniques," in New Orleans. She chaired and planned "The Clinical and Business Side of Skin Care", in conjunction with the ASAPS Facial Symposium in Las Vegas.
She is an 11 year volunteer for The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, a non-profit organization as part of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialist Creative Cosmetics Image Enhancement Team at the World Burn Congress, providing her expertise on make-up application techniques for burn survivors. Elena loves helping people and will strive to meet your needs through ethical and results driven clinical skincare with a holistic approach. It is her priority to guide you on your journey to Healthy, Glowing, Skin!
YOUR PRO MAKEUP ARTIST & PERMANENT COSMETICS EXPERT
Elena is a Graduate of the elite Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts, in California, undergoing an intense master makeup artist training program and receiving her Diploma in Master Makeup for Motion Pictures and Television. She is certified in airbrush makeup, and specializes in all aspects of makeup artistry. From beauty, special effects, light prosthetics, bald caps, old age, scars, specialty face painting, and specialized camouflage techniques. She is also very passionate about creating beautiful faces for weddings and custom blending cosmetics. Elena has a huge passion for finding solutions by using a variety of cosmetics for camouflaging facial differences and has created The Make-Up Boutique a full service studio that specializes in all aspects of makeup artistry and unique fashion trends to keep you looking beautiful.
She also provides mobile makeup artistry services. Elena had the opportunity of being personally trained by the best makeup artists in the industry, as well as receiving personalized training from Marvin Westmore. The Westmore's not only created, but they defined the role of makeup artistry in Motion Pictures and Television, and received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Elena utilizes the Westmore method techniques. She also received camouflaging makeup training from the renowned late Maurice Stein of Cinema Secrets and Marvin Westmore. She has contributed numerous articles on cosmetics, clinical skincare, and fashion trends for "The Beauty Buzz", section in the National SPSSCS Newsletter that is distributed quarterly to board certified plastic surgeons and plastic surgical skin care specialists.
Alicia spent 12 years working along side two prestigious board certified plastic and reconstruction surgeons; Dr. Christopher Hauge and Dr. James Hoyt, were she provided specialty medical micropigmentation and cosmetic tattooing services for breast cancer patients. She is a proud Central Washington University graduate/alumni and obtained a bachelors degree in Information Technology & Administrative Management. She has worked as a surgical technologist, laser tech, and clinical assistant, assisting with surgical procedures and patient care. She has been a mentor, speaker, board member, and has served on several committees throughout the years as an SPSSCS member.
Her passion is to provide our clients at Cascade Esthetics & The Make-Up Boutique with beautiful permanent cosmetics! She specializes in eyeliner, lipliner, eyebrow hair stroke simulation and microblading, and is also available for skin care consultations. Our goal is to apply eyelashes that fit your style and personality. From beautiful eyelash extensions, lash lifts, to Microblaiding and permanent cosmetics by Alicia at https://prettyninkrx.com. Cascade Esthetics & The Make-Up Boutique is one of the first eyelash extension establishments to specialize in the art of eyelash extensions in Yakima. Elena is also a Licensed Educator and Certified Master Eyelash Trainer. We love lash extensions and want to make sure you have a safe and happy lash application, so we recommended that you come without makeup on your eyes and that you do not curl your lashes the day of your appointment either. If you wear contact lenses we recommend that you remove them before your appointment. Be ready to spend 2-3 hours laying flat on your back with your eyes closed on a comfy bed of coarse! We like to consult to talk about your eyelash goals and to develop a customized plan that will give you beautiful looking lashes. Some other important information regarding your procedure is that it is painless, as your eyes are closed, and each eyelash extension is individually applied to one individual natural lash. You can even take a lash nap. At the end of your appointment you will be handed a mirror to see your beautiful lashes and then book your next visit for a lash fill. eYELASH EXTENSIONS
Volume or Synthetic Hybrid Mink eyelash extensions give a soft and natural look. Synthetic Mink eyelash extensions are added to one individual isolated lash. I use a variety of curls and the length can vary from 8-15 mm. I tend to use a bolder individual lash which is thicker in width. It will look like you applied multiple coats of mascara without wearing it. Volume/Hybrid lashes start at $185. If lash removal is needed there will be a $55 charge. Please plan on a 1 1/2 to 2 hour relaxing visit. Your visit includes a consultation and design to customize your individual lash style needs. Fills start at $95 and will be needed anywhere from 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes fresh and fluffy. After 5 weeks a full set will be required.
VOLUME/HYBRID EYELASH EXTENSIONS
The Lash Extensions that are here to stay! Volume/Hybrid Lashes (aka Russian Volume/Hybrid) allow multiple extensions to be applied to one isolated natural lash. A full lash line that appears fluffy and soft is achieved while maintaining the health and safety of the clients natural lashes. The diameters for Volume/Hybrid Lashes vary from 0.03, 0.05, and 0.07 and are lighter, fluffier, give a fuller look and use less adhesive over classic. If you like bold beautiful lashes I am happy to assist you in achieving a fuller look as I prefer using a variety of curls and diameters of extensions and specialize in Volume/Hybrid application. Some commonly used terms for Volume application is 2D to 6D Extensions, Hollywood Lashes, Hybrid, and Russian Volume/Hybrid. My goal is to provide you a lash service that will give you beautiful bold Voluminous lashes. Volume/Hybrid lashes can last 2-5 weeks depending on proper care. Hybrid/Volume lashes start at $185. An $85 fill will be needed anywhere from 2-3 weeks. If lash removal is needed there will be a $55 charge. Please plan on a 1 1/2 to 2 hours of a relaxing visit. After 5 weeks a full set will be required.
